SeaRiver Shipping is an owner and manager of 4 self-propelled barges on the Danube River, having our home port in Constanta. Our barges range from 1000 - 1500 MTs capacity, depending on the type of the cargo transported:

- Lierdam
- Optanda Nobis
- SeaRiver 4
We are a young company started by a team of well-experienced marine engineers and captains, having strong knowledge of transporting goods at sea and rivers, as well as operating and maintaining marine / river barge diesel engines, thrusters and all the machinery used at sea.
The connection of the Constanta Port with the Danube River is made through the Danube-Black Sea Canal, which represents one of the main strengths of the port.
Important cargo quantities are transported on Danube River, between Constanta and Central and Eastern European countries (Ukraine, Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, Austria, Slovakia, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium).
Main cargoes moved by barges on Danube are:
- Fertilizers
- Grains
- Steel products
- Projects & heavy lift equipment
- Construction materials
Using Rhine-Maine-Danube-Black Sea Canal, cargo from Central Europe / North Europe can be moved to Caspian Sea being trans-shipped at Constanta Port.
